According to modern science, universe is so large that even with the speed of light, it would take trillion of years to reach to the point that we have discovered the universe to be.

On top of it all, the fact is that the universe is going through an ever expanding phenomenon which makes it difficult to be certain about its size. But the question is, how do we measure the things from this far a place as sitting on some spot on earth. This video on the video-sharing site, Vimeo, answers just that.

http://scaleofuniverse.com/

Ever wondered what the scale of the whole universe is? We sure do wonder about its enormity and size and find ourselves to be just a tiny, but yet important part of the whole scheme of creation. As little children we hold this curiosity to find out how big is this thing as compared to that and this relative idea gives us a sense of awe about the different sizes that different things make up.

This site is a brilliant way to find out how huge or small things are on a universal scale. It starts with the microscopic things and gives as a relative scale based on man’s point of view and goes to the inner depths of the universe the true extent of which is not even known to the most avid scientists.

There is a bar down at the screen where the whole picture of the universe is presented in graphic design and one can move it back and forth to find out different sizes of a planet, a start, a galaxy or even a mountain or a tower. There are different comments made by various visitors through their Facebook login and you can leave your impressions too. This is site is a must-visit for any science and astronomy geek and even for those who just simply wonder about the things they see in the sky.

The post <a
