The third came up in the series of the incredible, Droid Incredible 4G LTE. The droid Incredible line has always been a sleeper favorite, but It comes with improved changes; it comes with a 4 inch screen and a thick form factor. The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is more of a mid range mobile at just $149.99 on contract retail price. It has same bits of HTC One X as its running on Android 4.0, but let’s look whether is it worth a buy or not.
Hardware
Its style is kind of the retro HTC rather than the new designs in the market; the rear of the phone is the most distinctive part, having angular design ridges and a large ribbed area that is easy to grip. It’s made of a soft touch plastic and is removable to show the microSD card, battery and micro SIM slot. With a 4 inch screen it is relatively thick; at 0.46 inch body it also weighs equal to HTC One X that is 4.64 ounces. At the top there is a red power button and red speaker grill. At the bottom we have Android 4.0 buttons; back, home and multitasking. It comes with a 1700 mAh battery which also makes it thicker.
Display
The screen is becoming one of the most important things in smart phones, the Incredible Droid 4G LTE comes with a 4 inch screen at qHD 960 x 540 resolution. This is small as compared with the latest Smartphone. It has chosen Super LCD rather than AMOLED screen. Viewing angels and brightness are actually real good except for the low resolution.
Software
The Incredible Droid 4G LTE runs on Android 4.0, which allows you to open shortcuts on the screen, and there are more HTC widgets, It’s a crazy phone as Wi-Fi problems are occurring on it, it will automatically turns on the Wi-Fi when app is opened but at the end you are left with a fast, stable and modern OS.
Performance
The Droid Incredible 4G LTE comes up with a dual-core Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz that’s backed by 1GB of RAM, which is quite fast but still slower than the 1.5 GHz of One X. But still its not the thing which you get in today’s smart phones. As for the network the speeds are fast as it should have been and Verizon still has its spark. The speeds never go below 9Mbs. Call quality is better and speakerphone does the job well.
While the 1700 mAh battery is powerful but still will drain out in 4 hours on extensive usage such as 65 percent brightness and running a You tube video over Wi-Fi. Though still the battery is removable.
Camera
It’s the same sensor as on the One X but it’s not that clear due to the separate Image Sense chip, though the images are clean and bright. Even in low light you are able to give a few nice shots. It can shoot a video at 1080p at 30fps and you can take images during the recording.
Its basically a little brother of HTC One series, it has a decent camera, fast processer and a good Wi-Fi, making it a good phone to buy. But still other phones are quite a ahead of this one.
