The rumour had its birth at one of the regional factories in Taiwan, where Apple has placed its new orders.
As Apple has always had a “tradition” of competing against fellow technology companies by bringing out a product similar to others, but in a repackaged and more attractive way, which makes it popular with customers, Amazon’s Kindle Fire is the new inspiration for iPad Mini. Apple has surprising even capped the production number of these iPad Minis to 6 million. So, if you see one in the market, better race to buy it. iPad Mini is expected to be out by the third quarter of this year.
Apple had collaborated with Samsung to get the new PLS-based LCD technology for smaller iPads. The screen of this iPad Mini is expected to be of 7.8-inch. The current screen size of iPad is 9.7-inch. It is a good product to introduce and might get those into iPads, who still have not been much interested in tablets.
But producing iPad Mini might be a threat to Apple’s own regular iPads and their sales. Besides, there have been rumours about an iPad Mini since “about forever” now. Apple, which always has eyes on the target that says sales, will definitely think more than ten times to actually go into production for iPad Minis.
