Social gaming has become a big of internet activity for users all around the world and it has been really beneficial for the growth of Facebook. Many users joined the social network so that they can play their favourite games on the site and compete with their family and friends. Hence, developing games on the site is really important for Facebook to sustain that growth rate and to satisfy those users who are there solely for social gaming than online socializing.
According to Facebook’s talk at the recent Game Developers Conference, it paid game developers $1.4B as its games product manager, Matt Wyndowe also admits. In 2010, Facebook did not have a dedicated game team to work on different games, but just as soon as it detected that social gaming is a big part of its growth, there was one formed immediately. So for all those games enthusiast out there, watch out for more interesting social games on the site and to those who are game developers, they should get serious on it since Facebook is willing to pay big bucks.
There are many amateur game developers here in Pakistan who are waiting to get noticed. All they have to do is to showcase their talent to the team at Facebook and they might get in for the part. Most Facebook users play games through its mobile app and this also means that game developers for mobiles too can now tell their parents, what they do is not just fun, but means business too.
